We celebrated European Day of Languages at school with each class from Primary 1 to Primary 7 celebrating a different country.
As well as learning some different words and phrases in a foreign language, we learned facts and tasted some of their foods 🥨🥐🥖🍖
We finished the day by coming together to watch Mr. Murphy’s Primary 6’s assembly. They told us about the links within their class to several European languages such as Polish🇵🇱, Spanish🇪🇸, Irish🇮🇪, Bulgarian🇧🇬 and Slovakian🇸🇰. They also explained why it is good to know another language
Primary 6 finished with the song ‘Frere Jacques’ sang in French 🇫🇷, English🏴, German🇩🇪, Italian🇮🇹 and Spanish🇪🇸.
