European Day of Languages
Dia duit! Bonjour! Ola! Ahoi! Buna! Cheśź! Hello to all of our friends across Europe! On Friday the 23rd September the pupils will celebrate a Super Learning Day based on the European Day of Languages.
The children will come to school dressed as famous people/characters from the country, national costume or simply wear the colours of that country e.g. Blue for Italy; yellow, red, black for Germany. Please do not feel the need to buy any costume, basic flag coloured clothing will do! Children can have a small flag painted on their face as well. If you have any questions, please speak to your child's teacher!
On the day the children will learn some basic phrases, listen to music and sample foods from the different countries! It promises to be a real feast for the senses.
The country represented by each year group is listed below;
P1 France
P2 Spain
P3 Italy
P4 Slovakia
P5 Ireland
P6/7 Germany
Ciao for now! Check back after Friday for all the photographs!
