This week we will be revising shape in our numeracy activities. 2D and 3D shape booklets will be available to download from the school website and Seesaw.

Phonics Booklet – One page
2d Shape- Please see 2D shape PowerPoints and share them with your child. Ask your child to identify some 2D shapes in your home. Ask them to name the shape and discuss their properties. How many sides? Are they curved/ flat? Are all the sides the same length?
Complete the first 4 colouring pages of the 2D shape booklet.

Thursday
|
Choose your favourite safari animal from the templates provided. Write a paragraph about your animal. Use the adjectives provided in the word bank to help. This should be completed in your green topic books – please see school website and Seesaw for the template
3D shape - Please see 3D shape PowerPoints and share them with your child. Ask your child to identify some 3D shapes in your home. Ask them to name the shape and discuss their properties. How many faces? Are they curved /flat? How many edges? Are they curved/flat? How many Vertices? (corners)

Your child should complete their weekly reading as normal. Books can be accessed from https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ Please see Seesaw for your child’s weekly books. They can be accessed by typing the name of the book into the search button. There are also follow up activities than can be completed

The children can access education city to complete homework tasks. The children can choose from Literacy and Numeracy activities. Login and password details will be provided through Seesaw, along with a guide on how to get started.
Ask your child to teach you our numeracy songs- Days of the Week, months of the year, ways to make 10.
Count with them regularly
✔️forwards and backwards to 30 in 1’s & 2’s
✔️Up to 50 in 5’s
✔️Up to 100 in 10’s
✔️Doubles to 20
