The Fire Engine
This term we read an information book about Fire Fighters. We prepared some great questions we would like to ask a Fire Fighter. As our questions were just SO good, we decided we would ask some Fire Fighters to come into our school to answer them. It was really exciting as they brought their fire engine and all their fire fighting equipment. They challenged Mrs McElhone to put on the fire fighter's boots, coat, hat, helmet and gloves. Fire Fighters get ninety seconds to do this once the alarm rings in the station. Mrs McElhone did it in 65 seconds! We all cheered her on. We loved looking around the fire engine and using the hose. We also found out lots about fire safety. We must remember to check our smoke alarm every week. It was a great day. Here are our pics!
